1. The Short Version
Pre-Med LogBooks does not collect, transmit, sell, or share the information you enter. Everything you write stays on your device, and we operate no servers to send it to.
2. Information We Do Not Collect
We use no advertising SDKs, no behavioral analytics, and no crash reporting service. The only third-party code that transmits anything is RevenueCat, described under Subscriptions and Payments below.
3. Data You Enter Into the App
Your LogBook entries, activities, hours, reflections, and awards are stored in a database on your device. They are never transmitted to any server operated by us or any third party. They are never sold or shared. Deleting the app removes them.
4. Sync
Sync transfers your data directly between two devices you control, over your local network. Every message is encrypted in transit under a key generated for that session alone. No server is involved at any point, and we receive nothing. Pairing by QR code carries the session key optically, so it never crosses the network.
5. Backups and Exports
Backup files are encrypted with a key derived from a PIN you choose. CSV exports are not encrypted and are readable by anyone who opens them. Both files are written to a location you select, and we never receive either one. We cannot recover a lost PIN.
6. Device-Managed Backups
If you have enabled iCloud Backup or another device-level backup service, your operating system may include app data in those backups as part of its normal backup process. This behavior is controlled entirely by you and your device settings, not by Pre-Med LogBooks. We recommend making a Backup regularly if you want a copy independent of your device's backup settings.
7. Subscriptions and Payments
Billing is handled by the App Store or Google Play. We use RevenueCat to verify your subscription. RevenueCat receives your purchase receipt and may assign an anonymous identifier and collect limited diagnostic data. It does not receive your name, your email, your payment card details, or anything you have written in the app. Our App Store and Google Play privacy disclosures reflect this: we declare that purchase history is collected, used for app functionality and analytics, not linked to your identity, and not used for tracking. 8. No Advertising
Pre-Med LogBooks contains no advertisements. We do not use advertising SDKs, advertising identifiers (such as Apple's IDFA), or ad-tracking technologies. We do not share any information with advertising networks.
9. Children's Privacy
Pre-Med LogBooks is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the app does not collect any personal data from any users, there is no meaningful distinction in practice — but if you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information through the app, please contact us so we can address the concern.
10. Your Rights and Controls
Because all data is stored locally on your device, you have complete control:
- Edit or delete any entry at any time within the app
- Export or back up your data at any time
- Remove all data permanently by uninstalling the app
There is no account to delete and no server-side data to request removal of.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the Effective Date at the top of this document. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the app after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
